Yes we do see Southern Right whales off this coast, sometimes very close inshore, and sometimes from a chartered boat - but I don't think many people are persuaded to charter by this advertisement...One of my most truly memorable moments was (about 30 years back), coming up to the dramatic Cape Point lighthouse, in a big boat, at dawn, with a Right Whale frolicking and smacking the water with its tail, just a few metres away.
