"Inside" the cave

The figures are only a couple of inches tall, and the depictions of cattle and sheep have faded and weathered.


Experts think that the row of dots represents a fire starting, and that the multitude of stripes to the right of this shows the fire taking over.


Access is awkward. The San artist must have been just as uncomfortable working on the ceiling above.
