Hot,dry - cold, wet

Reading from the bottom upwards - Doha, just after dawn - and such quantities of hot, dry sand. Six hours later in a brief flash of clear sky, fields around London, and Windsor Castle, blanketed with snow - a relatively rare occurence. Can't help feeling this show was simply put on for my benefit (we so rarely see snow in South Africa that we get quite sentimental about it and tend to overlook the slushy cold that follows.)
Yes, I'm in the UK visiting family and friends, for the greater part of February. So no flying or sailing or Aurora pics for a while - in fact the pics I put on are likely to surprise me as much as you.
