Classic boats Pinta, a friend's schooner, and our ketch Elegance spent New Year's Eve sailing in St Helena Bay, admiring each others' rig, and taking photographs. Also watching ...
was Sadie, who increasingly enjoys the attention she gets, on board.
The boats are beautiful! I've owned a sailboat since I was 12. I sold my last boat a few years ago. It was a 19-foot wooden Lighting, built in 1940. I still have my 1964 fiberglass Sabot with wood thwarts, rudder and sideboard, but I've pretty much outgrown it. Your ketch must be a thrill to sail!

Fantastic way to spend the New Year's Eve!
All the best for 2009 :)
What a beautiful sight and what a lovely way to spend the New Year's holiday.
This a gorgeous boat silhouetted against sky and sea, and the crew is very alert! Cheers Shelagh!
I also enjoyed the water on New Year's Eve and Day...but have yet to post the photos. I love yours! Happy New Year!
