Bushman haunts

About 6km out of Aurora is this dam, surrounded by hills formed of tilted layers of sandstone, surrounded by a fantastic variety of "fynbos", and with caves that once were home to the San people. There are paintings in the cave, probably dating back several hundred years. We guard these sites jealously - they are so prone to damage - but today I went on one of the infrequently scheduled visits to the caves. Watch the next few posts for details.
