The flowers are out in Aurora, masses and masses of them, wall-to-wall, the pavements and empty lots more spectacular than the gardens. Hard to believe that by the time we get really hot weather in Jan/Feb the place will look like desert, with only small garden areas still looking like gardens and only the toughest of plants surviving the hot winds from the Kalahari.
