Aloes

These aloes in my garden attract sunbirds and remind me of other areas of South Africa where they would be more at home - strictly speaking they belong in a summer rainfall area rather than in this almost Mediterranean climate. The rosemary and lavender and rose geranium in the foreground, on the other hand, love it here, and thrive.

I’m very much enjoying your shots. It’s very different to where I am (Tasmania), but every now and then there are similarities (for example, the jacaranda). Anyway, just thought that I’d let you know that people are looking!

They have really grown! I have a photo of these two back from 2001. You could see the church between them! Cheers Shelagh!
