Incredibly, what is usually sandy desert is submerged; Aurora is the little village on the other side of the apparent lake and waterfowl splash where ploughs should be busy! I was just leaving for the Kruger National Park when this was taken, a fortnight ago. I expected it to dry out while I was away but when I got back there had been more heavy rain and washaways on the roads. Global warming?
