Curios - by the dozen

Some curios are beautifully crafted - we admire them, and the beautiful wood from which they are made, at the same time realising that Africa is fast losing trees both to material for carvings and to the increasing demand for firewood.

Curios are displayed in great numbers wherever tourists visit, varying greatly in type and quality. They are the sole source of income for a large slice of the population.
