There's an old homestead not far from Aurora, at Kersefontein (Cherry Fountain) where the Melck family have lived for many generations. The outbuildings are more photogenic than the impressive main building - and there is a beautiful and typical "slave bell". Rather more in the background (we do enjoy nostalgia!) are the very modern light aircraft owned by the people on the farm...
